Love SWISS? Then you’ll love it even more now that the airline has upgraded its business and first class cabins (even economy) on the Airbus A340s. Although most of the A340s have been replaced by new Boeing 777-300ER jets, the airline intends to keep at least five of the A340s for long-range international destinations.
In 2018, all five will be upgraded to match SWISS’ luxurious style, similar to that of the Boeing 777-300ER, which offers more privacy.
SWISS offers eight first class suits, where you can turn your armchair into a fully-flat bed. The best part? Complete privacy—you’ll feel like you have your own room. Even your neighbor can be blocked off with an adjustable wall. (No more awkward stares.)
You can even decide when you want your meal served from their gourmet menu, offering Swiss dishes created by top chefs from all over the country. A new menu is created every three months, so you don’t even have to eat the same food over and over again.
Don’t ever think you’ll be bored aboard. With over 140 films and TV programs, you will have hours of entertainment to keep you busy. If, of course, you decide to break away from your work duties.
If you’re ready to catch some zzz’s or want a quick nap, you can cozy up in their luxury brand pajamas by Zimmerli of Switzerland, as you lay comfortably on a pillow and underneath a blanket by La Prairie.
Shut out the world as you cover your eyes with an eye mask and earplugs. And when you wake up, refresh your tired eyes and skin with skincare products by La Prairie.
Business class has been transformed from old to new, and those sitting in the new seat will also get to enjoy SWISS’ award-winning cuisine accompanied by fine wines. You can choose to eat a Quick Meal or devour your tastebuds in several courses. If you are a vegetarian, you will be spoiled with fine dishes created by Hiltl, the world’s oldest vegetarian restaurant.
The in-flight entertainment system does not differ from First Class, so you still get the same luxuries with a sufficient selection of films and TV shows.
The amenity kits in Business Class have everything you need for a comfortable flight, and in the winter they even come with a beanie or a neck warmer to keep you cozy throughout the flight, and even after as you step out into the cold.
