First class has many perks—private suites with sliding doors, more space to spread out, personalized service, showers, a la carte cuisines, complementary limousine service right up to the plane, as well as access to VIP lounges.

But it doesn’t stop there. This year, airlines such as Emirates, British Airways, Qantas and Qatar are coming out with brand new products—here’s a look into what’s being introduced this year.

2017 is looking bright for Qantas, Air New Zealand, Singapore and British Airways, who plan to open up new lounges. In March, Qantas will open two new ones in Brisbane and London, featuring a seasonal menu and wine and cocktail bars.

Singapore is set to open a lounge in Bangkok Airport in March, which will look similar to the lounges in Brisbane and Sydney.

In April, British Airways is rolling out new First and Concord Lounges, a big re-fresh from its previous designs, offering passengers a new menu and drinks.

Also in April, Air New Zealand will debut a lounge at Melbourne Airport, which will look similar to the designs in Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland, featuring a bar and a “live cooking station”.

Amenity Bags

This year, amenity bags can make a long flight that much more comfortable. Each airline changes out their kits regularly to show off amazing new products for first class passengers.

In January, British Airways and London’s department store, Liberty, partnered together to produce a fun kit (one geared towards men, the other towards women). The kits feature products from Aromatherapy Associates. The Renewing Rose Cleanser, Triple Rose Renewing Moisturizer, Orange Flower Hand Lotion, lip balm, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush, a brush, ear plugs, eye mask, socks and a pen are all in the women’s kit. For the men, there’s Refinery Shave Gel, Revitalising Moisturizer, a razor, lip balm, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush, a comb and brush, ear plugs, eye mask, socks and a pen.

At the same time, Emirates recently debuted VOYA and Bulgari amenity kits for first class passengers, which include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cleanser, body moisturiser, hand wash, soap and hand cream. You can choose from three fragrances rosemary & mint, lavender & rosemary and lime & mandarin. In addition to the high-end creams and washes, the kit also comes with reusable moisturising loungewear, the world’s first. The loungewear comes with matching slippers and eye mask in a felt pouch, and can last up to ten washes.
