Hong Kong Airlines business class lounge—Club Autus—just got a complete makeover, and we’re loving it.
Located in the Midfield Concourse on the seventh floor, this stunning new lounge has been separated into various zones for you to relax, eat and catch up with work. It has been expanded to comfortably accommodate up to 225 passengers, from the business folks all the way to those of you who like to unwind before the flight. Modern lounges are all about open spaces and lots of natural light, which Hong Kong Airlines new business class lounge doesn’t fall short of. Plus, if you do end up spending some time in here, you’ll get a fantastic view of airplanes taking off and landing thanks to the large tarmac views.
Traveling alone? There’s plenty of seating for everyone to have their own space. Just pop out your laptop, grab a seat, and people watch as you type away.
Continue walking and you will end up in another area, featuring additional seats with elongated bar tables. Grab a coffee, tea or pastry, and find a seat next to a fellow passenger as you wait for your next flight.
Looking for something quieter? Enjoy some peace in these divided sections with small couches and tables for more privacy. The area also has flat-screen entertainment systems, as well as the latest magazines to keep you preoccupied for the next few hours.
Need to refresh with a shower? Make sure to grab one when you get there. And for the women, there’s a steam eye mask treatment available in the shower rooms to help revitalize your skin.
For those of you who want to feel like a real VIP, make sure to reserve one of the two private rooms that can accommodate up to ten guests. These rooms have couches, chairs, views of the tarmac, as well as a flat-screen television. There are also private shower rooms (separate from the other ones in the lounge) that the airline can grant you access to, by request.
Good food is always a must in every lounge, and Hong Kong Airlines new business class lounge has a 65.6-foot buffet line, offering both local and international cuisines. Choose from egg waffles, noodles, various soups, desserts, dim sum and so much more.
And for all you health conscious folks, there’s a designated healthy food area, serving enough vegetarian dishes that can last you a few days without eating the same meal twice.
Once you’ve gone through the multi-course buffet, head over to the bar that offers a fine selection of beers, wines and spirits, as well as soft drinks, seasonal juice cocktails, tea and Nespresso coffee. Who can say no to that?
And if you love tea person, then you’re in for a treat. The lounge features a “welcome tea” spot with more than 80 different curated blends to choose from, including ginseng oolong tea, rose tea, kung fu tea and Lattea (a coffee flavored tea).
Club Autus is a huge improvement from what was once there, and we know that once you step inside, you will love it too!
The lounge is open to business class passengers, Velocity Gold and Platinum members and Fortune Wings Club Gold and Silver Virgin Australia cardholders.
