China Eastern’s business and first class cabins on their Boeing 777-300ERs are elegant, comfortable and in-line with what customers are looking for from a carrier that travels long-haul, internationally. From Shanghai, China to other cities throughout China, Asia, Europe and North America, let’s take a look at what these seats have to offer for those who are about to embark on an international journey on this airline.

Business Class

China Eastern elected Zodiac Aerospace’s Cirrus Long-Range design for its business class cabin, which it has tailored to match its own brand colors.

Business class is separated into two sections, one is very small with only two rows of seats—which makes it feel quite exclusive—as well as a larger cabin with a 1-2-1 layout. The smaller section, located directly behind first class, has eight business class seats, and the larger cabin that follows has a total of 44 business class seats.

Both cabins offer direct-aisle access for everyone due to the favorable 1-2-1 layout, and the seats are designed in what’s called a reverse herringbone. This allows you to have more privacy than the traditional seat that is positioned straight forward.

Those sitting in these seats are able to spread out comfortably, up to 74.8 inches long and up to 23.6 inches wide. And as with many business classes these days, the seat can convert into a fully-flat bed with a touch of a button.

Once you are ready to relax and take a nap or a full nights rest before arriving at your next destination, you can slip into pajamas and slippers provided to each passenger sitting in the upper-class cabins. Plus, you can refresh with a Clarins amenity kit, which includes a toothbrush, toothpaste, plugs for your ears, eye mask, lip balm and moisturizer.

When it comes to entertainment, you can enjoy hours of films, shows, and music on a 16-inch touch-screen with accompanying HD headphones. Other features include a USB port, A/C adaptor and personal light.

First Class

Flying in first class on China Eastern is like flying in a mini-suite above the sky. With only 6 suites located at the front end of the airplane, each one is equipped with a door that completely closes for ultimate privacy, air vent, personal light, A/C adaptor and UBS ports. More importantly, it has a seat that converts into a fully-flat bed measuring 78.7 inches long and 26.4 inches wide. But that’s not all, the two suites located in the middle can convert into a double bed for parents and children or couples traveling together.

Aside from the seat, you’ll also receive pajamas, slippers, and a luxurious Salvatore Ferragamo amenity kit equipped with lip balm, cologne/ perfume, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, eye mask and plugs for your ears.

Once you’re ready to sleep, press the button to trigger a “Do not disturb” light, and snooze away for the duration of your flight. Can’t sleep? Sit back in your pajamas, put on the HD headphones, and relax as you watch hours of entertainment on the 24-inch touchscreen TV that also has a remote control.

And unlike business class, first class offers a small mini bar—a perfect place to hang out and chat with other fellow first class travelers.
