Earlier this year, Lufthansa announced on Twitter their newest business class on the Boeing 777x. Just recently, images of the inside were released, featuring a luxurious design that uses the elements of space in a well thought out manner. As a result, the cabin feels a lot more open, making the overall environment increasingly comfortable for each passenger.
The new Lufthansa business class cabin is designed only for the Boeing 777x, an airplane that is “set[ing] a new bar for commercial aviation”—it’s no wonder that Lufthansa decided to completely revamp their premier seat.

Lufthansa is the first customer to order the Boeing 777x version -9 (Boeing has two versions, -8 and -9), which will be designed in two layouts: 1-1-1 and 1-2-1. Everyone will have access to the aisle, so climbing over your neighbor is a thing of the past (at least for this airplane). If you happen to be flying in the cabin with a 1-1-1 layout, the best seat option will be the one in the middle. You’ll be able to feel like a king in the so-called “throne seat”, thanks to it’s unique, spaced out design.
If you happen to sit in the middle seat of the 1-2-1 layout, you won’t have to worry about seeing much of your neighbor. Each seat has been angled away from one another, and a privacy door that you can easily raise has been installed. But don’t worry, if are traveling with a friend, family member or partner, the privacy door can be lowered to enjoy each other’s company.
Another feature that the airline has added to the seat to improve comfort is the contouring headrest that can form to your shoulder—perfect for those who sleep sideways. If you sleep on your back, the headrest is still designed to provide you with superior comfort—so go ahead, sit back, relax and enjoy your long-haul flight.

Lufthansa business class seat comes equipped with an Android tablet that allows you to change the position of your seat, control and view entertainment on the tablet (as well as the screen in front of you), turn your reading light on and off, and even adjust your personal air vent.
Does your phone and/or tablet have built-in wireless charging? The seat has a pad to power up the latest Android and Apple devices that support this feature.
Whenever you need a break away from your seat, head over to the onboard mini-bar to enjoy a refreshment and snacks as you strike up a conversation with a fellow traveler.
Ready to test out the new Lufthansa business class? You’ll need to wait a few years until 2020, but the wait will definitely be worth it.
