It’s only been a few years since Qatar Airways revealed the luxurious business class seat called Qsuite, but since they are only available on specific airplanes, the carrier decided it needed another product for their newest aircraft, the A321neo.
Qatar Airways A321neo business class seat has yet to be revealed, but according to Akbar Al Baker, the CEO of Qatar Airways, this new business class is going to be a product that we have not yet seen before on any one of their aircraft.
Qatar Airways will receive a total of 50 new airplanes, which will be a mix of the A321neo and the A321LR. Since these aircraft are smaller, the design of the business class seat has to be somewhat different, given the space constraints. Al Baker has not given enough information on what these seats will look like, but he did mention that they will be very private.
Moreover, based on the size of the cabin, it’s probable that Qatar Airways A321neo business class will be in 1-1-1 configuration (because everyone should have direct-aisle access).
Al Baker said that the A321neo and the A321LR will be replacing some current routes flown by the A320s, but will also be used to fly to “Phuket in low season, also to Krabi, and new destinations to Africa which are thin, intercontinental routes. We could also go to new destinations in Europe where the destination does not really have the volume for a widebody aircraft”.
We can’t wait for Qatar Airways to reveal this new business class aboard the A321neo, but we can only expect a five-star product from this award-winning airline.
