Cathay Pacific opened up a new lounge in our very own San Francisco Airport last year, but one of our favorites is Cathay Pacific first class lounge in Hong Kong International (HKG) known as The Pier.
Spanning across 22,184 square feet of space, The Pier is extremely spacious and can accommodate up to 231 travelers. From relaxing and working to freshening up and filling up your belly with excellent local flavors, Cathay Pacific first class lounge in HKG is considered to be one of the best lounges in the world.
Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge was designed by Crawford, a London designer, who made the space charming, elegant and chic by adding ambient lighting, calming music and modern furniture. With gold and brown color tones along with marble walls and wood tables, this lounge is a home away from home.
Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge features a variety of seating options including couches, tables with chairs, single lavish chairs and chaise loungers. Regardless if you’re there as a solo traveler or with a guest, you can find enough (and the right) seat for your needs.
If you need something a little more private, especially if you’re trying to get some work done, you can utilize one of the six work suites—each one with an iMac and plenty of desk space for your own laptop.
When it comes down to the dining and food, Cathay Pacific has a buffet as well as an à la carte menu with options such as pastries, wonton noodle and soups, braised beef cheeks, spiced pork jowl and baked purple sweet potato pudding, to name a few. The menu changes, so you can expect something new and delicious on your next visit if you tend to frequent this lounge.
And the space isn’t small either, the dining section alone can sit up to 100 customers.
Looking for a more casual setting? Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge has a bar fully stocked, including high-end wines, champagne and sparkling options. Ask the bartender to fix up your favorite drink or surprise you with something new—the sky’s the limit!
If you’re really looking to relax, grab a spot in one of the eight suites featuring a built-in daybed, large curtains for privacy, mirror and a light for reading. Plus, you get a large view of the runway thanks to the oversized window. So go ahead, take a quick nap after you’ve devoured the multi-course meal in the dining area.
To add to the comfort, Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge offers a free massage for your feet. You can also ask for a shoulder and/or neck massage as well to help you ease into your relaxation mood. Can it get any better?
Either after or before you receive your massage, head over to one of the fourteen showers to refresh before your flight. The showers are absolutely gorgeous, designed with limestone and timber wood. Each one has all that you’ll need to feel like you’re in a hotel bathroom including a hairdryer, hanger for your clothes, mirror, facewash, moisturizer, face toner, cotton pads and Q-tips, toothbrush, toothpaste and a shower cap. Regardless of what you need, Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge really knows how to make you feel like a royal.
Those flying in first class on Cathay Pacific or on another oneworld airline partner in first class, members of the Marco Polo Club, and those who hold a oneworld Emerald or Diamond frequent flyer status have access to Cathay Pacific first class lounge.
