Lufthansa Technik, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group which provides maintenance repairs and modifications to aircraft, is also known to design VIP jets that are extravagant and over-the-top, including the VIP A350 Private Jet and the VIP Mercedez Benz Jet collaboration. Now, the company has come up with another concept called the SkyRetreat cabin for the A220 aircraft, which has been designed with a completely different approach that resembles a tranquil spa above the clouds.
Lufthansa Technik SkyRetreat cabin concept features touch buttons versus switches, wooden floors versus carpet, comfortable daybeds and couches, and roll-up 4K televisions that come up from the sides, underneath a bench. The theme of tranquility is most prominent with the colors the company has selected for the SkyRetreat cabin such as green, brown and white to represent flora and fauna. There are even background images of nature to pull the theme together.
According to the Senior Director Sales, VIP and Special Mission Aircraft at Lufthansa Technik, Wieland Timm, “Our SkyRetreat concept makes optimum use of this spacious cabin and its technical features will provide our customers with a whole new sense of space and a unique travel experience”. Although not much else has been revealed just yet, we can’t wait to learn more about the Lufthansa Technik SkyRetreat cabin concept later this year.
