Etihad Airways is well-known for its phenomenal first class apartment and business class seat. It should then not be a surprise that this award-winning airline also has some wonderful lounges around the world. Our favorites are all three lounges catered to first, first and business and business class passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Regardless of which one you choose (or have access to), you will enjoy spending your free time relaxing, wining, dining and even working. Let’s take a look at each one of these a bit closer.

First Class Lounge

Etihad Airways First Class Lounge at Abu Dhabi is a one-of-a-kind place decorated in their signature gold and brown colors throughout 18,300 square feet of space. The Etihad First Class Lounge offers sixteen areas for you to utilize such as a dining area with exquisite meals that range from Middle Eastern and Indian to American and more, a bar with signature cocktails and some of the best wines in the world, a fitness room to help sweat out any travel stress, shower rooms and a mega-TV room. There’s also a prayer room, children’s play space, a barbershop, nail service area, spa with hair, nail, skin and massage services (guest receive a complimentary service) and a cigar lounge. There are butlers and mixologists and plenty of staff to help you with anything you may need. The experience is top-notch and anyone who steps inside will leave in awe. The lounge is open to Etihad Platinum members and those flying in First Class or The Residence.

Premium Lounge

Etihad Premium Lounge at Abu Dhabi is open to first and business class passengers. The decor reflects their designated colors and Arabic style that is meant to ease you into a relaxed state. The lounge features three separate buffet areas and a la carte options, a large bar stocked with many drink options—you can enjoy your drink at the bar, at one of the nearby tables, or have a staff member bring your drink to you. If you don’t have a computer but need to get some work done, you can utilize one of the iMac computers in the Business Center, or if you are traveling with children and need to provide them with a little distraction, head over to the designated play space—the Family Room. Etihad Premium Lounge also offers small pod-like spaces equipped with a television for you to watch, and plenty of leather seats and USB/AC outlets. Regardless if you’re flying first or business, you still have access to free services at the Six Sense Spa.

Arrivals Lounge

If you’re just arriving from an international destination and are a business or first class passenger or hold an Etihad membership, you have access to the airline’s Arrivals Lounge at Abu Dhabi. The lounge is smaller than the First and Premium Lounges, but it’s a perfect place to grab a meal, take a shower, send that last email, store your luggage or even shine your shoes and steam your clothes. The lounge doesn’t get very busy since most travelers leave the airport after arriving at Abu Dhabi Airport, but if you’ve arrived for a meeting, need to refresh and some time to kill, the Etihad Arrivals Lounge can be a lifesaver.
