Virgin Australia is known for its beautiful decor both above and on the ground. Although the airline has only nine lounges in the world, one of their best ones is at London Heathrow, located in Terminal 3. The lounge features a five-star a la carte dining, viewing deck, game room and more. Virgin Australia Clubhouse lounge at London Heathrow has been decorated with the signature purple and red tones like that found in their aircraft as well as neutral tones of brown, white and grey to tie it all together. The end result is a tranquil atmosphere that’s inviting for all types of travelers—from the workaholics to the ones who completely want to unwind.

Those who are flying in the Upper Class cabin or are a Flying Club Gold member have access to the Virgin Australia Clubhouse lounge at London Heathrow Airport. And if you do end up spending time in this lounge, here’s all that awaits you inside.

The moment you enter Virgin Australia Clubhouse, you’re greeted by a seating area that’s adjacent to the dining space where you can order from an a la carte menu, or grab a light meal from the Deli counter. The airline decided not to add a buffet in order to focus more on the quality of their menu, including the ingredients used and what it takes to make each dish. From egg florentine and tender bulgogi pork to devilled eggs and warm chocolate fondant, the menu has both smaller plates for the less hungry to full-course meals for the starving folk. Adjacent to the dining area is a fully-stocked bar ready to serve you the best drink—be it beer, wine, straight liquor or cocktail.

As you walk around the lounge you will notice there are a variety of seating spots with many different seat types such as loungers, chaises, long couches, individual chairs and even chairs that hang from the ceiling. Many seats are located right next to the large windows with views of the runway, an area that tends to be less crowded as many travelers huddle around the bar and dining area. If you’re looking for more of a work environment, head over to the workstation, some of which offer DELL laptops available to use for free.

Virgin Australia Clubhouse is equipped with other designated nooks such as a kid’s playroom, a game room with game consoles, pool table and multiple TVs. That’s not all, head upstairs to the “Viewing Deck” featuring faux grass, outdoor loungers and tables and clear views of the runway. There is no roof over the “Viewing Deck” so it’s only nice to spend time there during the warmer and dryer days of the year. And knowing London, that doesn’t happen too often!

What we love about lounges, aside from the food, of course, are the additional facilities to help keep you feeling refreshed. Virgin Australia Clubhouse at London Heathrow offer showers as well as a spa with hair, nail and skin services. Each guest receives a complimentary treatment, which is known to be one of the best ones offered when compared to other business class lounges.

Overall, you will find yourself pleased with not only the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge facilities but also with the service and the cuisine. Have you had a chance to spend time in this lounge? If so, how was your experience?
