Triple F.A.T. Goose Norden Men’s Hooded Goose Down Jacket

Triple F.A.T. has been making incredible jackets for decades, and reliable ones at that. This jacket uses nanotechnology to design a water-resistant fabric that is waterproof and stainproof (including oil) while still being comfortable. The jacket is filled with goose down and the detachable hood is lined with Canadian coyote fur, both of which are ethically sourced.

Columbia Lay D Down II Jacket

Columbia is also known to make excellent, warm winter jackets, one of which is the Lay D Down II Jacket for women. It’s waterproof yet breathable, has thermal heat reflective technology and underarm venting, and the inside is filled with eco-friendly down feathers. The hood is removable, the hand pockets have zippers, the back features an “adjustable snap-back powder skirt” to help from snow coming in, and there are holes in the cuffs for your thumbs to help keep your hands warm.

Another jacket made by Columbia, similar to the Lay D Down II but for men, is the Wild Card Interchange 3-in-1 Jacket, featuring a waterproof exterior, thermal heat reflective technology and special ventilation built into the underarms. The hood has been designed large enough to fit a helmet, the liner is removable, there are zipper pockets and a “removable powder skirt” to keep from snow coming in.
