Singapore Airlines has one of the most luxurious first class suites on the market—a true hotel room above the sky. However, these suites are only available on the Airbus A380, which only flies to a limited amount of destinations, whereas the Boeing 777-300ER offers more routes to travelers who want to experience first class on Singapore Airlines.

A few years ago, Singapore Airlines refreshed the first class on the Boeing 777-300ER, and compared to its predecessor, the newer seat is fantastic. With only four seats in a 1-2-1 layout at the front of the plane, you’ll feel like royalty in your semi-enclosed private suite.

Each seat is designed with the airline’s traditional colors of brown quilted leather with grey and taupe accents on the surfaces. With a seat pitch of 81-inches and a width of 35-inches, the Singapore Airlines first class seat is spacious for even the tallest folk.

The suite features an extra-large space for your feet and a small space underneath for a carry-on, a large compartment with two shelves to the side of the footrest with a door, a large try table with a faux light wooden finish, as well as HDMI, USB and AC ports. You can control the mood lighting to help you fall asleep or read and work, position the seat as you see fit using the easy-to-use buttons on the side of the seat, and select what you want to watch on the 24-inch LCD entertainment screen using a handy remote control located on the other side of the seat. There’s an additional enclosed storage space to the side of the seat to store smaller things such as phone, wallet and other loose items and is the same location where you’ll find the USB outlets.

Other amenities include Bose noise-canceling headphones, and Lalique-branded socks, slippers, pajamas, eye mask and amenity kit. The kit contains some unique gifts such as a candle and bar of soap as well as body lotion and lip balm, all of which are stored inside an elegant black and white top zipper carrying case. If you need toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving cream or a razor, you can find all of those fully-stocked in the lavatories.

Whether you’re flying in Singapore Airlines first class for the first time or not, you’ll enjoy everything from the service and seat to amenities and food provided to first class passengers. Although it’s nothing compared to the first class on the A380, Singapore Airlines’ first class on the Boeing 777-300ER is still a prime example of what the airline can offer to their premium customers.
