Passengers flying in first class or business class on Qatar Airways are now welcomed to spend their time in the airline’s newest lounge at Singapore Changi Airport in Terminal 1. The airline announced that this new lounge “will serve as a new standard for all our Premium Lounges going forward”, but if you’ve spent time in Qatar’s lounges in London and in Paris, you may see some similarities.
The Qatar Changi business class lounge spans 7,534 square feet and has been decorated with luxurious furnishings that exemplify modern-day Arabia. From the stand-stone entrance, orchids, “botanical-inspired” walls and marble tabletops mixed with lavish wood to seats with elegant pops of color including ocean blue and Qatar Airway’s signature purple, the new lounge is welcoming and sophisticated.
The Qatar Changi business class lounge has a variety of spaces to unwind in including the main seating area, five quiet pods (semi-enclosed sound-proof spaces with chaise lounger, reading lights, coat hanger and charging outlets), a bar serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, bar-style seats and tables, and two dining areas—the Garden Bistro and Brasserie—with a buffet. There’s also a phenomenal à la carte menu option outside of the buffet, ranging from local favorites to classic international cuisines.
The Qatar Changi business class lounge can only accommodate 85 travelers, with priority access to business class passengers traveling on the A350-1000. The lounge is accessible from 7:30am to 11am and 5:30pm to 2am.
