Virgin Atlantic’s fleet of A330-200s is now fresh with a new interior cabin that’s stunning as always. Upper class, premium economy, and economy have all received an upgrade, although the most drastic of them all is the premier cabin.

Those who are ready to experience the upgraded seats can do so beginning this November.

Virgin Atlantic Upper Class consists of three different types of seats to choose from, yes three! The first is “Love Suites” that are situated in the middle aisles, perfect for those traveling together. The second is “Solo Suites” found on each side of the cabin, ideal for those who are flying independently. The third option is the “Freedom Suite”, which has been designated for the ultimate private experience that you can get on Virgin Atlantic. One of the best parts? Everyone has a seat with direct aisle access.

The entire Virgin Atlantic Upper Class consists of 35 seats, each with a 38-inch seat pitch.

All premier seats will be able to transform into fully-flat beds for a comfortable sleep, just as they do on the current Boeing 787 aircraft. Plus, each one has been upgraded with the latest HD entertainment touch-screen technology measuring 20 inches. There’s also a touch-screen handset by Panasonic, more stowage space for your carry-on and coats/jackets, and leather seats in the color of espresso for that extra touch of elegance.

Other new Virgin Atlantic Upper Class features include redesigned LED lighting that changes with the time zone, when it’s time to sleep or when it’s time to eat. The bar is now near Premium Economy, which has been equipped with a 24-inch entertainment touch-screen showcasing abstract animations throughout the entire duration of the flight.

It’s amazing how quickly the company was able to turn around the Old Air Berlin A330-200s and re-brand them into their own look and feel. Daniel Kerzner, Virgin Atlantic’s VP of Customer Experience says, it “is a true testament to our teams and their focus on giving our customers a truly Virgin Atlantic experience. When life gives you lemons, we say – make sparkling lemonade!”
