You may not think of Aeroflot as having a decent business class, but you’re about to be taken back when you see the new seat on the A350. It’s like nothing the airline has ever shown before, and we can’t wait to test it out.
Set to take flight starting next year, with more A350s rolling through 2023, the new Aeroflot A350 business class will offer all 28 seats direct-aisle access thanks to the 1-2-1 configuration. (The previous class was set in a 2-2-2 layout.) And the best part? It’s completely enclosed. That’s right, Aeroflot business class customers will soon be able to enjoy complete privacy.
The color scheme has been completely reinvented, with soothing colors of beige, taupe, grey and blue. Although the seats will remain cloth versus leather, it’s expected to be much more comfortable than any other seat the airline offers.
Those sitting in the middle section will be able to lower or raise the dividing panel either to enjoy the company of your travel partner or completely close oneself off. Other features include a large side storage space, a personal closet at the front of each seat for coats, suits and jackets. A spacious side table and tray table will allow even the busiest traveler to spread out their paperwork and devices in order to complete all projects without feeling confined. The buttons to adjust the seat are easy to use and the entertainment screen is bigger than its predecessor, although the exact size has not yet been revealed. We’ve yet to know the seat width and length, but we can guess the width to be around 21 to 23 inches and length anywhere between 78 to 80 inches.
In addition to the new Aeroflot A350 business class seat, the aircraft will also feature an onboard mini-bar featuring drinks and snacks available for business class passengers only.
The new Aeroflot A350 business class will be available beginning in March 2020 with flights between Moscow and New York, followed by additional flight routes in May to Beijing, June to Seoul and Miami, July to New Dheli and September to Havana. Other flight routes will be added in the coming years, although which destinations those will be, are still to be determined.
